Christmas season is upon us! For those traveling or living abroad it can often mean a makeshift holiday spent with fast friends trying to find a place that actually sells a whole ham and butchering your mother’s holiday recipes (if you’re anything like me). But no matter where you are it’s a time to connect with the people you love. And what better way to do that than by getting hammered with friends on the other side of the planet while watching Love Actually, (arguably) the best Christmas movie ever?
I can’t take full credit for this idea. Buzzfeed posted their version of the Love Actually drinking game earlier this week. But as my friends and I perused the list, we decided that we could do way better, that you probably wouldn’t even get drunk with theirs, and that we should definitely make our own. We borrowed a few keepers from them, but the large majority of it is original content. So here it is, the Actual Love Actually Drinking Game: Boozehound Edition.
Test it out and let me know what you think! Are there rules missing? Are there too many to keep up? Are you too drunk to type anything right now? I will be starting it at 11am local time in Seoul on Saturday December 7th. So wherever you are in the world, feel free to join in the holiday boozing!
Side bar: I omitted instructions because if you don’t know how to play a movie-based drinking game, you probably shouldn’t start with this one. It’s basically a hundred and twenty minute power hour.
